MENTORSHIP SCHEME

Having had successful runs in previous years, KCLBMS is pleased to announce that we will be continuing our Mentorship Scheme in the Academic Year 2023/24.

WHAT IS IT?

The KCLBMS Mentorship Scheme partners members of the society with experienced barristers and is aimed at, but not exclusive to, students who are not typically represented at the Bar. Mentees can reach out to their mentors regarding any questions they may have about the Bar, more specific questions about Inns of Court Scholarships, or general advice on applications and interviews. This is a great opportunity for students who are curious about what being a practising barrister is like and who wish to get ready for a career in a competitive profession.

TIMELINE:

The scheme will last from November to June, with our in-person introductory event taking place on 11 October 2023.

Applications open: 19 September 2023
Applications close: 4 October 2023
Partnering of mentors and mentees: Mid-October 2023
In-person introductory event: 11 October 2023
